The Yes / No Tarot Spread
Sometimes you just want a clear steer. The yes/no spread uses a single card to point one way or the other.
How to do it
- Phrase one specific yes/no question.
- Shuffle and draw a single card.
- Judge the answer from the card's tone and its traditional leaning.
Reading yes, no, or maybe
- Yes — bright, forward-moving cards (The Sun, The Star, Aces, many Cups/Wands).
- No — blocking or heavy cards (The Tower, many Swords, Ten of Swords).
- Maybe — ambiguous or "wait" cards (The Moon, Two of Swords, The Hanged Man).
Our Yes/No oracle uses each card's built-in leaning to give an instant verdict.
Yes/no works best for genuinely binary questions. For "should I…?" or "what about…?",
a three-card spread tells you far more.
